The 5th National Conference on Advances in Enterprise Architecture (NCAEA) will be held in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), Mashhad, Iran. 

Iran (officially the Islamic Republic of Iran) is a large country located in southwestern Asia. It is bordered to the north by the Caspian Sea and the south by the Persian Gulf. With an area of 1,648,195 square kilometers and a population of around 85 million, Iran is the 16th largest and 17th most populous country in the world. Tehran, the capital city of Iran, is the country's largest and most populated city. Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz and Tabriz are other major cities of the country. Iran with 24 UNESCO World Heritage Sites is one of the 10 countries with the most Cultural Heritage Sites in the UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Moreover, it is one of the religious tourism and ecotourism destinations due to its religious holy sites and natural sites. Iran is considered as one of few countries in the world to have a “four-season” weather, where visitors may experience all four seasons in some part of the country throughout the year. 

Mashhad is considered as the 2nd biggest and populous city of Iran after Tehran due to its religious, industrial and economic conditions. Mashhad is known as the most important attraction for the passengers who are willing to visit Imam Reza holy shrine (8th Shia Imam), the biggest holy shrine in Iran. As one of the most magnificent religious places in Iran and in the world, Astan Qods Razavi is the symbol of Mashhad where the Islamic art and religion are linked to each other. Located along the Silk Road, Mashhad is the economic capital and the intercontinental commercial center in the Central Asia. 

Founded in 1949, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM) is named after the great Persian epic poet Ferdowsi whose "Shahnameh" is a well-known classical masterpiece in Persian literature. FUM is Iran’s third oldest university and the largest in the eastern region of the country. The university main campus is set in a 300-acre beautiful parkland, remarked invariably by visitors on its attractiveness. FUM offers more than 140 study programs in 13 Faculties and has more than 800 academic faculty members and more than 25,000 students, more than 2,500 of which are international students.
